It's no secret we've been around the block a few times here at Punch Design. We see our years of experience as an advantage.
Not everyone is capable of sitting down to a meeting with a person sporting grey hairs without thinking 'well, here's someone who hasn't the slightest clue about social media marketing, QR codes, or CMS design'.
And it's only fair to admit that I really love proving them wrong.
You want Cheap, Fast, or Good? Pick Two.
In the 90's and through much of the 00's, it was a standard phrase for anyone offering website design that you couldn't have it all. Every site had to be custom-programmed. Functionality had first priority, and design always seemed to get the last spot – mainly because the job – first and foremost – required a dedicated programmer.
Many of the website providers from those days have since abandoned web work.
I have a theory as to why.
After discovering there was more to the job than just creating cool code, the programming-savvy simply lost interest. Customers who didn't understand enough 'geek-speak' to fully explain what they wanted inadvertently caused countless re-do's – and the programmers were largely unschooled in communication and customer service. A go-between was often called in, and before a job could be finished, an entire team had been assembled to expedite what was supposed to be a simple and straightforward project.
In the meantime, CMS design has evolved greatly over the past decade.
Design in The Front Seat
Today there are numerous solutions available that make it possible to create custom websites with design on level with functionality. This is ideal for people with lots of design experience and customer communication.
That's Punch Design.
And that's why grey is gold.
